Amit Shah In Assam On 3-Day Visit, To Meet BSF Officials At Border Outpost
Amit Shah In Assam: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is presently in Assam on his three-day visit to the state to attend several significant events.
Mr. Shah arrived at Guwahati airport late Sunday evening, where Himanta Sarma and some other senior state BJP leaders came to receive him.
After his arrival in the state, Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, “It is always special to be in Assam, the great land of Maa Kamakhya Devi. Looking forward to attending various programs during my visit.”
Announcing the home minister’s visit, Mr. Drama said, “Honoured to Receive Adarniya Home Minister @Amitshah Ji at LGBI Airport, Guwahati. Adarniya Griha Mantri Ji will attend several events over the next two days in Assam.”
Mr. Shah will be attending the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government’s first-anniversary celebrations and traveling to India-Bangladesh border.
Union Minister schedule on Monday
On Monday morning, the union minister Shah will visit the Mankachar border outpost of BSF and interact with the officials posted there.
Mr. Shah will also lay the foundation stone and also participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the CENWOSTO-II (Central Workshop and stores) for the CAPF (Central Armed Parliamentary Force) at Kelenchi
In the evening, Mr Shah would inaugurate the Census office in Amingaon, Kamrup district, as well as the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital’s Superspeciality Cardiothoracic and Neurosciences Centre.
Union Home Minister’s schedule on Tuesday in Guwahati
On Tuesday, he will give the ‘President’s Colour’ to Assam Police during a ceremony in Guwahati, as well as meet with the force’s officials and staff.
Union Home Minister will therefore address a public rally to commemorate the completion of one year in office of the Sarma-led dispensation.
Mr. Shah is scheduled to return to New Delhi on Tuesday evening.
